Migos’ Offset Says He Was Kicked Off Airplane

Migos' Offset Says He Was Kicked Off Airplane

Migos‘ Offset has been kicked off an American Airlines flight, according to TMZ‘s sources. In a since-deleted Instagram video, Offset explains that he was ejected for talking on his phone. In the post, Offset vents about the airline before showing off a bag filled with cash and saying, “Kick me off the plane, I’ll go private.” According to sources at TMZ, his Migos bandmates Quavo and Takeoff remained on the flight. Pitchfork has reached out to Migos’ representatives for comment.

Offset is not the first rapper to have trouble with American Airlines. Last year, Vic Mensa took to social media after being kicked off two of their flights in the span of three months (one of those times was also for talking on the phone).

Spotify’s Daniel Ek named most powerful person in the music business

The chairman and CEO of the streaming service displaces Universal’s boss at the top of Billboard’s Power 100

Spotify’s chairman/CEO, Daniel Ek, has been named as the most powerful person in the music industry by the trade magazine Billboard. Ek, 33, tops Billboard’s annual “Power 100”, rising from No 10 last year. He displaces Lucian Grainge, the chairman and CEO of Universal Music Group.

Opening its citation for Ek, Billboard says: “For the first time since Napster decimated music sales, the recorded-music industry is showing signs of growth, and that reversal of fortune is largely due to one man … Daniel Ek.”

Kanye West has unendorsed Donald Trump

In the wake of controversial executive orders, including a temporary travel ban on seven Muslim countries, Donald Trump‘s early approval ratings are in the toilet, and some of his supporters have already begun to abandon ship. Among them: Kanye West.

According to TMZ, the rapper-producer has scrubbed his Twitter of pro-Trump tweets after “disapproving of his actions during his first two weeks in office.”

West drew public ire for coming out in support of Trump during a concert in November 2016. Weeks later, he met with the then President-elect to discuss “an “ambassador role of sorts,” as well as “multicultural issues, including “bullying, supporting teachers, modernizing curriculums, and violence in Chicago.”

TMZ’s sources say West’s decision to remove the tweets were all his, and the “Muslim ban” and other actions have turned him against the President. Indeed, Kim Kardashian has spoken up against the travel ban via Twitter. If anyone has sway over West, it would be his wife.
